APRIL 21 - 2012 Leadership Conference
The criteria to be selected as a Whit’s Warrior includes a minimum 3.0 GPA, campus and community participation, athletic or arts participation and a willingness to pursue higher education. Students must be from Ouachita and Lincoln parishes. Whits Warriors is a scholarship program to help assist and provide mentorship for high school seniors that are seeking financial assistance in getting a higher education and how to be leaders in their classrooms and communities. The 25 Whits Warriors scholarship winners will receive 1,000 dollar scholarships for higher education, a free computer, and get to participate in a leadership conference with inspirational speakers from North La.
This scholarship program is unique and is intended for students who are looking for mentorship on how to excel in everything they do. A Whits Warrior is a student that wants to embody all the characteristics of a Leader; work ethic with balance, humility with confidence, passion with persistence, and a leader through consistency.
